'Em Bears

As each one of Ellen's cuddly critters take shape, they take on a fun, loving personality of their own. Her preoccupation with stuffed animals started as a child and continues today. She made her first bear as part of a church project in 1996. Ellen creates all her bears at her home along the Raquette River in St. Lawrence County. She has her own expansive collection sitting, hanging, and dangling all over her house. Her goal is to put a smile in everyone's heart through her art of creating huggable, fuzzy, bundles of love. Her collections include bears, lambs, koalas, and penguins, many named for local places in Northern New York and the Adirondack Park, which is not far from her own backyard.
