Re-In-vestments

Barbara started making clothing professional some years ago by recycling old clothes and scraps of fabric, but she was looking for a new product and market. The Red Hat Society inspired Barbara during a visit to Canada. The Red Hat Society is a social group with more than 800,000 members worldwide, with members (women mostly over the age of 50) wearing purple clothing and red hats. They look for unique pieces of red and purple clothing of exceptional quality, things that are not “pressed out in a factory”—items that are one-of-a-kind with panache.
Barbara began making vests, totes, handbags, and hat embellishments with great fanfare from her market. She is a firm believer in “re-in-vesting” or giving back to the community through her business.
